CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

On February 4, 2012, SCU’s College of Oriental Medicine celebrated the Year of the Dragon.  More than 150 people gathered in the glen on campus were treated to a traditional dragon dance AND a lion dance.  They were also regaled with Chinese acrobatics, a martial arts demonstration and live music.  The crowd’s palates were treated to a sumptuous Chinese buffet complete with chow mein and orange chicken.  If you weren’t able to attend this year, make sure to look for this annual event next February!

HAPPENINGS ON CAMPUS

On January 26, 2012, Donna Winges shared some of her adventures in China.  Ms. Winges is currently in Beijing studying Chinese medicine.  Attendees were regaled with the trials and tribulations of living and studying in a foreign culture.  Look for Ms. Winges to share more in the coming years.

Student American Black Chiropractic Association kicked off Black History Month with a ceremony on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.  It was a wonderful day and we look forward to the rest of the month!!
